Elmer Fudd ya no tendrá rifle en las nuevas caricaturas de ‘Looney Tunes’

La noticia del cambio en el personaje se volvió viral en las redes sociales el domingo.

Elmer Fudd ya no llevará un rifle en la colección de cortos de HBO Max llamados dibujos animados “Looney Tunes”.

Según The New York Times, el primer corto, titulado “Danza de la dinamita”, tiene la sensación de la vieja escuela Looney Tunes.

En el video, Bugs Bunny persigue a Elmer Judd con dinamita.

Sin embargo, Fudd ya no llevará su rifle simbólico. El personaje Yosemite Sam ya no llevará pistolas.

El productor ejecutivo de la serie Peter Browngardt le dijo al New York Times , “no estamos haciendo armas”.

Do you guys SERIOUSLY care whether or not Elmer Fudd has a gun in our shorts? You know how many gags we can do with guns? Fairly few. And the best were already done by the old guys. It's limiting. It was never about the gun, it was about Elmer's flawed, challenged masculinity.

Elmer Fudd doesn’t have a gun in the new Looney Tunes cartoon because the creators don’t support the second amendment. Pathetic. Isn’t the whole point of his character is that he hunts wascawwy wabbits or are they getting rid of his speech impediment because it’s offensive too?
